The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

It's no surprise to the people that know me best that Christmas is my favorite time of year.  The sights, the sounds, the smells, I love it all.  However, nothing compares (nope, not even the cookies!) to reconnecting with an old friend, a loved one you haven't seen for a while, or sending holiday wishes to the newer faces of your year.  I'm sure I'm not the only one that enjoys getting the mail in December, filled with excitement and anticipation for all the joy that comes in the decorated envelopes!

I can remember when I was little, going over to my grandma's house and looking forward to digging through all of her Christmas cards; she always had a huge pile!  My favorite were the photo cards-those were the special ones!   Little did I know then how much I would love to send them now (and how EASY they are to create)!  There are several places to find photo cards, but I have found none of them as user-friendly and convenient as Shutterfly.  They have so many great options, their prices are awesome (how can you go wrong saving up to 30%?!), and they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee!  Whether you're looking for a religious card that highlights the reason for the season or a more festive Christmas photo card, I can promise that you will find what you are looking for because they have something for everyone.  In addition, they also have great photo gifts.  In our family, the personalized calendars are always a hit and are actually requested! (No kidding, who asks Santa for a calendar?!)  The new designs are great!

Here are a few of my favorites!

Festive and Fun!
Elegant and Traditional
The Reason for the Season!
Good ol' Santa!

It's OK...I know you'll be running to your mailbox now to see what Christmas card I've sent you, rest assured it'll be our little secret.  :)  Merry Christmas!

Holiday Hoop-la!

I'm always amazed at how fast time seems to go.  In fact, it seems to go faster the older I get.  It feels like we just welcomed spring and here we are, transitioning to fall all over again.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy the crisp mornings, the beautiful fall foliage, and the plethora of apples and pumpkins…it all just seems to sneak up on me.  I imagine we’re in the same boat, life gets away from all of us.  The seasons change, the months go by, we blink and it’s October!
If it’s October, you know what’s peekin’ around the corner, right?  In case you’ve forgotten, take a stroll to your local Target store; their entire aisle of Christmas cards and lights should give you a hint J.  I think the preliminary Christmas décor is part of the Halloween plan-o-gram!
I know I joke, but this is the perfect time of year to start thinking about the holidays.  Even better, let me lend a hand to get your gift list done early with meaningful, timeless gifts that everyone can enjoy.  Plus I offer FREE gift wrapping on all orders, all the time.  I’ve decided to join in on the ‘holiday hoop-la’ and help you get started by having a few different specials every month from here until Christmas.  Check back often to check out the latest deals...the first deal starts today!!

Imagine if....

What a difference a day makes!  It's like we hit September 1 and the cool weather (even chilly nights) came knockin' on the door.  Isn't it wonderful?!  This time of year is my favorite for many reasons, one of them being that right around the corner.....the HOLIDAYS!  I know, I know, most of you cringe at the thought of thinking about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even the start of 2011 already; however, tis the season for preparing for The Season.

Time and time again I've had the discussion with family and friends about what to give who.  What should we give mom and dad? Grandma and Grandpa? Significant other?  Dearest friends?  We want to give them something, but we're tired of the same ol' thing year after year.  Soon our enjoyment for the season is gone, we end up spending our hard earned money on "stuff," and we can't wait to pack away the holly until next year.

Psst....Imagine if you could enjoy the holidays this year!  Imagine if you could get all your 'shopping' done before the holidays even started!  Imagine if YOUR gift was the one that everyone was talking about and showing everyone they knew just because it was that special.  I know exactly how to do it so let me help!  Give the gift of memories :)  How can you go wrong?  There are so many options and I KNOW that there will be at least one, if not more, that will fit that special someone.

Here are a few ideas:
  • 12x18 calendar: Full of your memories from the previous year (or anytime) including pictures and journaling!  Plus, after each month the calendar piece is removable allowing you to put the top portion, which is essentially a scrapbook page, in an album.  You have a calendar and a scrapbook all in one!!!
  • Paper albums: Simple yet meaningful.  16 pages to re-live those special moments or important glimpses into everyday life.
  • Storybook:  A great alternative to the bigger, sometimes bulkier scrapbooks.  A scrapbook nonetheless but created digitally and then printed.  Great coffee table decor.
So instead of spending countless hours worrying about what to get, fearing your gift will get shoved in a drawer, how much to spend, and hoping the holiday season would hurry up and leave, let me help!

Contact me today to discuss easy, cost-effective, and most importantly, meaningful gifts that will last a lifetime!

Thanks for stoppin' :)

If you're anything like myself, you take a TON of photos. (Sometimes, it's too many!) It's hard to know what to do with them all and it's easy to become overwhelmed. Good news my friend, there are options! In fact, there are some great options. Here are a few examples of some pages/albums I've done:

These paper albums that look SO nice, make GREAT gifts for family or friends (for an outstanding price), and take less than an hour to do!  They come in several different themes and colors.
The cover
The front page (you can see part of the picture on the cover page)
A few of the inside pages

 Other options also include:
The "Picfolio," fun and versatile!

Plus, you keep the option to journal which is very important!

The Traditional Scrapbook
12x12 or 8x8

There are also the digital scrapbooks, calendars (these can double as a scrapbook), everyday displays, and so much more!  Let's get together to see what option is best for you :)  Thanks for stopping!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, I'm so happy you're here!  "Let Me Scrap For You" is exactly what the name implies, I scrapbook and preserve your memories so you don't have to!  Some people don't have the time or the patience to sit down with their pictures to create an album or a display.  Unfortunately, their pictures never leave their camera, flash drive, or even the shoe box in the back of the closet.  Your memories are so much more important and taking the next step to have them put in an album or a scrapbook will ensure you have them for generations to come...this is where I come in. :)

Getting started is really easy!  Here's how it works:

1.  You organize the photos in chronological order by topic or event.  For each page, submit 4-6 related photos, along with any memorabilia, in a Ziploc bag or envelope.  Please only submit the photos you'd like for me to use in the album.  For a fee, I can assist you in organizing and choosing which photos will go in the album.

2.  We meet for the initial consultation to discuss specifics of the project.  At this time I will collect a $50 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied to the cost of the album.  We will also discuss: cropping the photos, album size, color schemes, specific art, ruled pages, family trees, memorabilia, how much room you’ll need for journaling, and layout style. After this consultation I will be able to give you a precise estimate on the final cost.

3.  I submit to you an estimate and the client agreement.  Your project is started 2 days after the signing of the agreement to ensure enough time for alterations of our original plan.

4.  Mid-way through completion of the project, I show you the layout to make sure everything looks okay.  If it is a long-term project, I provide weekly updates.

5.  Balance is due upon completion of the album.  If the project is long-term, then a portion of the balance will be collected at the end of each month.

For more information or to receive an estimate for your album, please contact me at: letmescrapforyou@hotmail.com

Please come back again soon to check out pictures of my current "in-progess" albums! :)
